The objectives of introductory level training are:

• Understand “integrated thinking” and “report integration”.
• Know the IIRC standard and its applicability.
• Map alignments between IIRC and GRI requirements.
• MAKE A Balance of emerging good practices, and international examples
• Reflect on the implications for my own organization, especially on corporate governance and reporting systems.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Present the business case for the introduction of the Integrated Report process, including Integrated thinking, in the organization.
• Explain the fundamental concepts of value creation, capital, and the process of value creation.
• Describe the requirements of the International Framework IR.
• Describe the factors that contribute to a successful implementation of the Integrated Reporting process, including Integrated Thinking, in the organization.

Course content

The Integrated Reports are the next phase in the evolution of the corporate reporting process. The process that began with the need to report on sustainability issues (along with the traditional issue of financial reporting) has now reached its next natural phase - linking financial performance to sustainable development.

The Integrated Reporting process is crucial to understanding and communicating the links between sustainability strategies and investment decisions.

The Integrated Reporting process leads to:

• Better decision-making within the organization.
• Effective and adequate content for investors.
• Improved communication for stakeholders.
