This one-day workshop will provide report preparers and users with a strategic assessment of complementarity in sustainability and financial reporting, common approaches to materiality and target audience, as well as emerging approaches to integration between financial and sustainability reporting.
- Participants will be presented a comparative overview of the core requirements of the G4 Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the International <IR> Framework of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).
- Trends abroad, including lessons learned from the South African experience, will be highlighted.
- Interactive discussions will enable reporting managers to consider implications for Swiss-based corporations and appropriate ways for their own businesses to best employ international standards in reporting.
The workshop is organized by BSD Consulting Zurich. BSD’s South African Senior Associate Cornis van der Lugt will share insights on progress with sustainability and integrated reporting by companies listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, where integrated reporting is required since 2010.
