Luana Ambrosio de Almeida
Luana is an Oceanographer who graduated from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and has an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s degree in Marine Environment and Resources, by the University of Southampton (UK), Universidad del País Basco (Spain) and Université de Liége (Belgium). She has previous experience with environmental education, marine and environmental law, valuation of ecosystem services, and fisheries. Prior to BSD-ELEVATE, she has worked together with WWF-Chile engaging stakeholders (government, academics, NGOs and fishermen), and promoting sustainability in Chilean fisheries through the use of MSC certifications. Luana is certified by the Global Reporting Initiative Certified Training Program and Integrated Reporting Training program. She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English and has joined the BSD – ELAVATE team in Brazil in October 2019.
