BMW Sustainability Report 2013
Case Study

After having carried out an in-depth materiality analysis according to the G4 Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Guidelines, BSD Consulting gave support and advice with regards to the BMW Sustainable Value Report 2013. The project included the following tasks:

  • Analysis of reporting trends and related recommendations for the BMW Group.
  • Development of the report structure and report concept.
  • Support for content and data collection.
  • Report text drafting.
  • Organization of the GRI Application Level Check A+.

This project led to the further development of the Sustainable Value Report in key aspects, such as the information about the sustainability context, a stronger value chain perspective, explanation of sustainability performance, approach to the presentation of objectives & KPIs and the incorporation GRI G4 Guidelines criteria.
To develop the BMW Sustainable Value Report, BSD relied on an international project team, including consultants from BSD offices in Spain, Germany and Switzerland.

Description

The BMW Group mandated BSD Consulting to support the development of the BMW Sustainable Value Report 2013 according to GRI 3.1. BSD Consulting guided BMW through the entire reporting process and gave substantial inputs to the development of the report content and structure.
