BSD Consulting already supported Swiss Post in 2015 in revising the CR relevance matrix. It examined the extent to which existing fields of action are to be further developed and new priorities to be set. On this basis, BSD was commissioned in 2016 to support the company further in the actual development of the CR strategy.

A best-practice analysis on long-term perspectives:

In the area of Corporate Responsibility, advanced companies are setting long-term goals and visions. An analysis of such CR visions from various CSR-leaders allowed to identify good practices and to create a basis for the development of a long-term CR strategy for Swiss Post.

A thematic context analysis:
In order to define concrete objectives and measures in the CR strategy, a context analysis was carried out for four topics. Therein, and the current state of the topic (for example trend- or regulation driven changes) and best practices of managing them were identified.

Support for the development of the CR strategy:
For the “Corporate Citizenship” area, BSD Consulting has supported the Swiss Post with the content development. Strategic options, objectives and measures were developed using a concept outline. In the end, BSD experts gave an overall feedback on the strategic document.

As an integral part of the new corporate strategy of Swiss Post, the new CR strategy enables the company to consistently pursue sustainable corporate management and to contribute to the corporate value.

For years, Swiss Post has been committed to sustainability. In preparation for the 2017-20 strategy period, BSD Consulting has helped Swiss Post to revise and further develop its CR strategy. As a result, a strategy with four concrete action fields emerged, which represents sustainable corporate management in its holistic view, and helps path the way towards entrepreneurial sustainability 3.0 with a strengthened outside-in-thinking in CR management.
